No layering of bird songs, single track recording; 30 seconds recorded with sm58 mono, cleaned up bottom and mids, lowered some frequencies to clean further, 16 bit, 44. 1 mhz, boosted to approximately -24 lufs.
Six footsteps on grass with hiking boots. Each footstep is split by ~250 ms of silence. I layered a thud sound and me moving grass to make it. Recorded with a h4n 06/06/2020. Edited in audacity.

Inflation of nos balloon recorded on wide diaphragm condenser, with acoustic dampening around the mic but not in studio conditions - should be pretty cool for a non synthy noise sweep, or for a snare layer.
This was recorded on a poor on laptop microphone, and was supposed to be an applause track, but the microphone quality and the fact that we layered ten clapping noises all over each other combined to make this.
A distorted arpeggio with sharp release and long sustain used as a background layer for an a-ha moment in a film. Used a roland groovebox self-record utility straight to wav, which is pretty good, though it results in quieter high frequencies.

This is a sample of howling wind created in logic pro x using a few of choruses, flangers and fm synthesis. It isn’t the most realistic recreation of wind, but i think it’s a great layer to put under actual wind recordings. This is also suitable for horror:esc sounds.
